“Moods and Magic” is the way DJ C describes DJ Intel’s mixing style. I tend to agree. Just finishing his “Bump Me Loud” Mix now — a ride through Nina Simone, Skream and Primus that wins all kinds of style points.

I will even forgive him the Dizzee Rascal. Its not so much seizure-inducing, but more at an intense wrinkling of the nose with a side of screw face. Any mix that can keep me interested through that episode has got to be good.

The mood? I was ready to say that “Bump Me Loud” was DJ Intel’s little joke, given the amount of nuance and twists involved. But now I believe him to be sincere. It’s all about that windows-down, fuck-yes-this-is-what-I-listen-to feeling. Carpool? I apologize to you in advance.
